After holding the parents' seminar entitled "Introduction to New Senior Secondary (NSS) Curriculum and Subject Choices under the New Academic Structure (NAS)" on Hong Kong Island in mid-March, the Education Bureau (EDB) will hold the same seminar again in Kowloon on April 19 for parents of students studying in Secondary Three to Five. Interested students are welcome to come along with their parents.
The seminar will be conducted in Cantonese and will include a question-and-answer session. Parents will be able to learn more about subject choices and multiple pathways for NSS students. Discussion topics will cover various NSS subject combinations, Applied Learning courses, the curriculum offered by the senior secondary schools under the NAS, tertiary education opportunities and career pathways for students under the NAS.
The seminar will be held from 7pm to 9pm on April 19 at the Lecture Theatre, 4/F West Block, EDB Kowloon Tong Education Services Centre, 19 Suffolk Road, Kowloon Tong. Registration to attend the seminar will start tomorrow (March 23) and seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
