Free replacement service for Sanki induction cooker (with photos)
**********************************************************

The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department today (February 2) advised consumers to stop using Sanki induction cookers' model number SK-IC810 immediately and approach the supplier, Sanki Electrical Appliance (International) Limited (Sanki), to arrange for a free replacement.

A recent safety test conducted by the Consumer Council revealed that the partial printed circuit board and induction coil could be accessible by consumers once the small drawer at bottom casing was removed, posing the potential risk of an electric shock.

The induction cookers concerned were supplied to the local market between March 2011 and November 2011. Sanki will offer a free replacement service for affected consumers, and post safety notices announcing the free replacement service in newspapers today and tomorrow (February 3).

For details, consumers should contact Sanki's customer services hotline at 3563 7680 during office hours from 10am to 5pm from Monday to Friday.
