Talking face to face with Cantonese opera stars

     Following an encouraging response to the first two series, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department will present the third part of the "Face to Face with a Star in Cantonese Opera - Talk Series" next month. The talks (in Cantonese) are to be hosted by Sun Kim-long and numerous Cantonese opera virtuosi, who will share their valuable experience with the audience.

     Details of the talks are as follows:

February 4 (Saturday)
Topic: Sweet young thing, wicked consort and loving mother
Speaker: Lee Heung-kam

February 11 (Saturday)
Topic: Actor, businessman and legacy torch-bearer
Speaker: Danny Li

February 18 (Saturday)
Topic: From theatre stage to the screens - the natural voice actress
Speaker: Tam Sin-hung

February 25 (Saturday)
Topic: Comedic art, stylised routines and high-flung emotions
Speaker: Yau Sing-po

March 3 (Saturday)
Topic: From Cantonese opera and films to calligraphy and painting
Speaker: Nam Hung

     The talks will be held at 2.30pm at AC2, 4/F, Administration Building, Hong Kong Cultural Centre (the talk of February 25 will be held at AC1). Tickets priced at $60 (per talk) are now available at all URBTIX outlets, on the Internet and by credit card telephone booking. Half-price tickets are available for senior citizens aged 60 or above, people with disabilities and the minder, full-time students and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) recipients. (Limited tickets for full-time students and CSSA recipients are available on a first-come, first-served basis.)
