The Lands Department today (December 22) announced that tenders for a hotel site and a residential site had been awarded on 50-year land grant at a total premium of $2,383 million.
The hotel site, Kowloon Inland Lot No. 11205 at the junction of Hung Luen Road and Wa Shun Street, Hung Hom, Kowloon, was awarded to Shangri-La Hotel (Kowloon) Limited at $2,328 million. The residential site, Lot No. 726 in Demarcation District No. 4 Mui Wo, Lantau Island, was awarded to Sky Target (Hong Kong) Limited at $55 million.
"Authority from the Central Tender Board was given to the Lands Department to award the two sites to the highest tenderers," a Government spokesman said.
The tenderers other than the two successful tenderers in respect of each lot in alphabetical order were:
(a) Kowloon Inland Lot No. 11205
(1) Century Link (Hong Kong) Limited
(2) Silver Treasure Investment Limited
(3) Winbox Investment Limited
(b) Lot No. 726 in Demarcation District No. 4 Mui Wo
(1) HKR Properties Limited
Kowloon Inland Lot No. 11205 has a site area of about 15,623 square metres and is designated for hotel purposes. The minimum gross floor area and the maximum gross floor area are 41,795 square metres and 62,492 square metres respectively, of which not less than 10,750 square metres are for the purpose of a public transport interchange.
Lot No. 726 in Demarcation District No. 4 Mui Wo, has a site area of about 2,260 square metres and is designated for non-industrial purposes (excluding godown, hotel and petrol filling station). The minimum gross floor area and the maximum gross floor area are 2,754 square metres and 4,590 square metres respectively. The total number of residential units to be built shall not exceed 50.
