Fatal traffic accident at The Peak reclassified as murder

     Police today (December 9) reclassified a traffic accident at The Peak on November 26, in which a 45-year-old man was killed and a 24-year-old man was seriously injured, into a murder case.

     At about 12.45pm on November 26, a private car driven by a 61-year-old man reportedly knocked down the 45-year-old man and the 24-year-old man when it reversed inside a car park at 11 Pollockˇ¦s Path.

     Sustaining serious multiple injuries, the duo was rushed to Queen Mary Hospital where the 45-year-old man was certified dead at 1.50pm.

     After in-depth investigations by Police, suspicion was detected on the case and it was reclassified as murder.

     Police today arrested the 61-year-old driver for 'murder' and 'attempted murder'. He is being detained pending further enquiries.

     Active investigations by District Crime Squad of Central District are underway.
