Tender awarded for petrol filling stations

     The Lands Department today (December 8) announced that the tender for three petrol filling stations has been awarded on 21-year land grant at a total premium of $474.01 million.

     The site at South Bay Road, Repulse Bay, Hong Kong (Rural Building Lot No. 1196), was awarded to Petrochina International (Hong Kong) Corporation Limited at $112.78 million. The site at 22 Wong Chuk Hang Road, Hong Kong (Aberdeen Inland Lot No. 460), was awarded to Chevron Hong Kong Limited at $128.16 million. The site at No. 173 Tsing Yi Road West, Tsing Yi, New Territories (Tsing Yi Town Lot No. 182), was awarded to Shell Developments (HK) Limited at $233.07 million.

     "Authority from the Central Tender Board was given to the Lands Department to award the above sites to the highest tenderers," a Government spokesman said.

     The successful tenders were submitted on an individual basis for the purchase of the three sites. These three sites are existing, re-tendered sites for the development of petrol filling stations.

     Five tenderers took part in the tender exercise, which produced a total of 13 tenders - 11 for the sites individually and two for the three sites collectively as a package. The companies other than the successful tenderers that tendered (individually or as a package) are listed below in respect of each lot and in alphabetical order:
