"Celestial Songs" to present unique, enlightening musical journey (with photos)

Legendary Hong Kong composer Lam Man-yee has teamed up with a diverse group of eminent Asian singers, Grammy Award nominees and chant masters to undertake an inspiring musical journey toward inner peace, harmony and joy in "Celestial Songs". The concerts will be held from this Friday to Sunday (November 11 to 13) and only limited tickets are available due to the enthusiastic response.

Produced to take audiences away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, the concerts will present a spiritually inspiring journey toward a higher realm. There, long-lost tranquillity and self-awareness await, to be summoned up by melodic sounds radiating from the very soul of the universe. Included in the sublime programme is a new work, "OM", by creative and music director Lam. Performing in all three concerts are Elisa Chan, Danny Summer, Tam Po-shek, Ani Choying Drolma from Nepal, Ito Kayo from Japan, Kelsang Chukie Tethong from India, Ma Changsheng from the Mainland and special guest Lama Tashi from India.

With famous local visual artist Ringo Tang as the visual director and visual artist, the concerts will also feature projected images of paintings, photographs and calligraphic works by Tang, Tam and Ma, as well as those by Chang Lin (Alain Yip), Lam Tian-xing and Bernard Ho, which will merge with the songs harmoniously.
