Two draft Development Permission Area Plans amended
***************************************************

The Town Planning Board today (October 28) announced amendments to the draft Man Kam To Development Permission Area (DPA) Plan and the draft Ta Kwu Ling North DPA Plan.

The draft Man Kam To DPA Plan incorporates amendments to rezone an area to the north and a strip of land to the east of Muk Wu from "Agriculture" to "Village Type Development".

The draft Ta Kwu Ling North DPA Plan was amended to extend "Village Type Development" zones of various villages within the area. These included rezoning an area to the north-east of Tong Fong and an area to the north of Tsung Yuen Ha from "Recreation" to "Village Type Development", while an area to the east of Tsung Yuen Ha and an area to the north-west of Ha Heung Yuen were rezoned from "Agriculture" to "Village Type Development". A strip of land to the north of Ha Heung Yuen close to an existing stream was rezoned from "Village Type Development" to "Recreation" to avoid possible flooding affecting small house developments in the low-lying areas.

The draft Man Kam To DPA Plan No.DPA/NE-MKT/2 and the draft Ta Kwu Ling North DPA Plan No.DPA/NE-TKLN/2, incorporating the amendments, are now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Board, the Planning Enquiry Counters in North Point and Sha Tin, the Sha Tin, Tai Po and North District Planning Office, the North District Office and the Ta Kwu Ling District Rural Committee.

Any person may make written representation in respect of the amendments to the Secretary of the Board on or before December 28, 2011. Representations made to the Board will be available for public inspection.

Copies of the draft plans are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic versions of the plans can be viewed at the Board's website at www.info.gov.hk/tpb/.
