The Lands Department registered 12 lease modifications and three land exchanges in the Land Registry during the quarter ending September 2011, of which three were modifications of a technical nature involving nil premium.
Among these 15 land transactions, four are located on Hong Kong Island, eight in Kowloon and three in the New Territories. The transactions exclude Small House cases.
Another lot was granted by private treaty to the Hong Kong Housing Society during the period for residential development in Cheung Sha Wan.
A spokesman for the Lands Department said today (October 14) that the land transactions realised a total land premium of about $8.314 billion.
Transaction records of the lease modifications, land exchanges and private treaty grants, including those registered recently, are uploaded onto the Lands Department's website (www.landsd.gov.hk) on a monthly basis. Details of the transactions may be obtained by searching the registered documents in the Land Registry.
