Korean fugitive arrested

     Police yesterday (October 3) arrested a 45-year-old male Singaporean who was wanted in connection with a conspiracy to traffic in dangerous drugs case in the Republic of Korea.

     In September 2011, a request for assistance was made from the Korean Authority under the surrender of fugitive agreement with Hong Kong. Hong Kong Police then arrested the man at Lo Wu Boundary Crossing Point yesterday.

     The man appeared at the Eastern Magistrates' Courts today (October 4) and would be remanded in custody until next Tuesday (October 11) for continuation of the extradition proceedings.
