Amendments to works at Liantang/Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point gazetted

     The Government published a notice in the Gazette today (September 9) on the proposed amendments to the road works of the Liantang/Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point and associated works. The proposed amendments aim to address the objections to the original scheme and to tie in with the engineering considerations.

     The proposed amendments include:

(i) Revision of the layout of the proposed noise barriers at Tai Wo Service Road West and nearby slip roads and Tai Wo Service Road East, and deletion of a section of the proposed noise barriers at the proposed carriageway near the south portal of the proposed Lung Shan Tunnel;

(ii) Revision of the location and layout of the proposed ventilation building and the proposed ventilation adit at Lau Shui Heung, and the proposed limit of works area and resumption/clearance limit;

(iii) Revision of the layout of the proposed noise barriers and deletion of a section of the proposed noise barriers near the proposed roundabout at Shan Tong, and the proposed limit of works area and resumption/clearance limit;

(iv) Revision of the location and layout of the proposed administration building and outdoor compound, and the proposed limit of works area and resumption/clearance limit;

(v) Revision of the proposed limit of works area and resumption/clearance limit near the north portal and south portal of the proposed Cheung Shan Tunnel;

(vi) Deletion of a section of the proposed noise barriers, and revision of the proposed limit of works area and resumption/clearance limit near the proposed carriageway at the existing junction of Ng Chow Road and Wo Keng Shan Road;

(vii) Revision of the location and layout of the proposed roundabout with associated slip roads and access road at Ping Yeung; the layout of the proposed noise barriers, footpaths and at-grade and elevated carriageways, and the proposed limit of works area and resumption/clearance limit; and deletion of the proposed retaining wall;

(viii) Revision of the proposed limit of works area and resumption/clearance limit at Lin Ma Hang Road and near the junction of Lin Ma Hang Road and the carriageway linking to Chuk Yuen Village Resite Area;

(ix) Construction of a public car park within the proposed Liantang/Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point;

(x) Revision of the layout of the proposed realignment of Lin Man Hang Road and construction of a pedestrian subway and associated facilities to connect the proposed Liantang/Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point and the proposed realignment of Lin Ma Hang Road;

(xi) Revision of the layout of the proposed ancillary works including geotechnical, slope, drainage and landscaping works and construction of planting areas (including amenity areas).

     The amendment plans and amendment scheme are available for public inspection at the following places during office hours:
