HA signs Letters of Acceptance with first two major tenants for Domain (with photos)

The following is issued on behalf of the Housing Authority:

     The Housing Authority (HA) today (September 7) signed Letters of Acceptance with two major tenants for its mega-commercial centre, Domain, at Yau Tong, Kowloon, scheduled for opening in the latter half of next year.

     Officiating at the signing ceremony, the Chairman of the HA's Commercial Properties Committee, Dr Andrew Chan, welcomed the first two major tenants, A.S. Watson Group and Megabite. Megabite will operate its first food court at an HA commercial property and A.S. Watson Group will launch a new concept of lifestyle department store at Domain.

     Also officiating at the signing ceremony were the Permanent Secretary for Transport and Housing (Housing), Mr D W Pescod and the Deputy Director of Housing (Estate Management), Mr Albert Lee.

     With a total floor area of about 45,000 square metres, the 150 shops at Domain will provide a comprehensive range of shopping, dining, lifestyle and leisure facilities to the public housing tenants nearby as well as residents of the Kowloon East District.

     Domain will have eight floors with six themed shopping zones: the Grab and Go Domain, featuring fast-moving retail for rapid shoppers and commuters; Princess Domain, featuring cosmetics and skincare retail; Hip Domain, featuring lifestyle and fashion; Family Domain, featuring trendy daily household products; Teens Domain, featuring gadgets, toys, books, films, music, etc; and Party Domain, featuring open spaces for recreation, performance and other activities.

     To integrate shopping and leisure, the rooftop garden and the green corner will also provide valuable spaces for leisure, family fun and green education.
