Improvement works to public landing facility at Trio Beach in Sai Kung
***********************************************************

The Government intends to carry out improvement works to the public landing facility within an area of about 824 square metres of foreshore and seabed at the southeast of Trio Beach in Sai Kung.

The existing public landing steps were constructed in the early 1980s for kaito services between Pak Sha Wan and Trio Beach. Improvement works, including installation of piles and construction of landings and steps, are required to enhance the safety of passengers boarding and alighting at the public landing facility.

The work is scheduled to commence in November 2012 and to be completed by April 2013.

The extent of the area affected is described in a notice published in the Government Gazette today (September 2).

The notice, together with its related plan, can be seen near the site.

Any person who considers that he has an interest, right or easement in or over the foreshore and seabed involved may submit a written objection to the Director of Lands, 20/F, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point, Hong Kong, on or before November 2, 2011.

The plan can also be seen and purchased on order at the Survey and Mapping Office of the Lands Department, 23/F, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point. It can also be seen at Sai Kung District Office and on the Lands Department's website (www.landsd.gov.hk).
