Draft Mong Kok Outline Zoning Plan amended

     The Town Planning Board today (August 12) announced amendments to the draft Mong Kok Outline Zoning Plan (OZP).

     The amendments mainly involved rezoning of a site bounded by Ivy Street, Elm Street and Anchor Street from "Other Specified Uses" annotated "Business" to "Residential (Group E)" to facilitate residential development; and the ex-Mong Kok Market site at the junction of Canton Road and Argyle Street from "Government, Institution or Community" to "Commercial (3)" with requirement to provide a community health centre at the site.  

     The draft Mong Kok OZP No. S/K3/29 incorporating the amendments is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Town Planning Board, the Planning Enquiry Counters in North Point and Sha Tin, the Tsuen Wan and West Kowloon District Planning Office and the Yau Tsim Mong District Office.

     Any person may make written representation in respect of the amendments to the Secretary of the Town Planning Board on or before October 12, 2011. Representations made to the Town Planning Board will be available for public inspection.

     Copies of the draft Mong Kok OZP are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the OZP can be viewed at the Town Planning Board's website (www.info.gov.hk/tpb).
