Public forum on Legislative Council geographical constituency boundaries on July 4

The following is issued on behalf of the Electoral Affairs Commission:

     A public forum will be held on July 4 (Monday) on the provisional recommendations for the delineation of geographical constituencies in respect of the 2012 Legislative Council Election.

     The public consultation on the provisional recommendations opened on June 23 and will continue until July 22.

     "Members of the public are invited to express their views at the public forum," a spokesman for the Electoral Affairs Commission said today (July 2).

     The forum will be held from 3pm to 4.30pm at the Community Hall, 3/F, Causeway Bay Community Centre, 7 Fook Yum Road, Causeway Bay.

     Written representations can be sent to the Commission's Secretariat by post to 10/F, Harbour Centre, 25 Harbour Road, Wan Chai; by fax (2511 1682); or by email ( by July 22. Late submissions will not be considered.

     Maps on the proposed delineation and names of geographical constituencies can be downloaded at the Commission website (, or inspected at the Registration and Electoral Office, District Offices, post offices, management offices of public housing estates, and major and district public libraries.
