The following is issued on behalf of the Heung Yee Kuk:

     The Heung Yee Kuk held elections for its Chairman and Vice-Chairmen of the 33rd term today (June 1).  Lau Wong-fat has been elected Chairman, and Cheung Hok-ming and Lam Wai-keung have been elected Vice-Chairmen. Their four-year tenure takes effect from today until May 31, 2015.
