In response to media enquiries, a spokesman for the Chief Executive's Office (CEO) today (May 31) said that an authorised person appointed by the Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, had inspected the premises at 64 MacDonnell Road today to follow up on the allegation that the windows at the balcony are unauthorised building works. The Chief Executive owns the property under the name of a company.
The spokesman said that after obtaining all the relevant information, the authorised person would ascertain with the Buildings Department whether any unauthorised works need to be rectified.
The Chief Executive stressed that he would carry out required follow-up measures if necessary.
