iVenture Card's all-in-one admission pass offers visitors unlimited access to top Hong Kong attractions

iVenture Card today (May 26) opened its Hong Kong office and introduced the "See Hong Kong and Macau Pass", a sightseeing smart card that gives visitors to the city entry to more than 15 top attractions and includes a free trip to Macau and entry to the Macau Tower Observation Deck.

The pass is designed to provide convenience and savings, particularly for independent travellers, and a simple solution for vendors and operators. Visitors can choose from a one-day to a three-day pass, which is valid for six months once purchased and comes with a pocket guide to help visitors plan their stay.

As well as offering unlimited entry to existing attractions like Big Bus Tours, the Peak Tram and the DHL Hong Kong Balloon, the pass also offers unique experiences such as a dim sum cooking class, feng shui tour, wine-tasting and a sampan boat ride on Aberdeen harbour.

Managing Director of iVenture Card Asia, Mr Thibault Paquin, said, "While the sightseeing smart card concept is relatively new to Asia, we see great potential in Hong Kong, which last year experienced a record-high of 36 million visitors. We selected Hong Kong as one of the first destinations in the region in which to launch the pass as we anticipate growth in the free and independent tourist market and have received terrific support from the participating attractions and local tourism bodies."

He added, "iVenture Card's Hong Kong office is responsible for managing the business partnership arrangements with the various vendors in Hong Kong and Macau, and oversees our operations in Macau. Looking ahead, it will be working hard to engage more sightseeing attractions in our Hong Kong and Macau portfolio."

Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion at Invest Hong Kong, Mr Andrew Davis, said, "One of the significant costs of anyone's travel budget is paying for admission to all the sights and attractions at a destination. To save on sightseeing touring costs, an all-in-one admission pass can be a valuable tool, particularly for independent travellers looking for value. No more having to figure out exchange rates or digging around for the right money. The 'See Hong Kong and Macau Pass' is also a great example of groups working together to achieve a win-win situation for all parties," he said.

Starting a business in Hong Kong, for companies large and small, has been further facilitated with the launch of the Government's electronic incorporation service in March 2011. The time required for company incorporation and business registration has now been significantly reduced from four to one working day.
