Police appeal for witnesses to fatal traffic accident in Cheung Sha Wan

     Police are investigating a traffic accident in Cheung Sha Wan on May 14 in which a 26-year-old man was killed.

     At about 7pm on that day, a private car driven by a 49-year-old man was travelling along Cheung Sha Wan Road southbound. When approaching the junction with Hing Wah Street, it reportedly knocked down the 26-year-old man who was riding a bicycle.

     Sustaining serious head injuries, the man was taken to Princess Margaret Hospital where he was certified dead at 9.44pm on the next day (May 15).

     The driver was arrested for dangerous driving. He was allowed to bail out pending further enquiries.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West, are under way.
