The Government announced today (May 13) the closure and alteration of parts of the footpath at Lung Cheung Road to facilitate the improvement works of the Mass Transit Railway (MTR) Wong Tai Sin Station.
To allow for the construction of a new MTR external lift, parts of the footpath at Lung Cheung Road fronting Wong Tai Sin Shopping Centre will be temporary closed and altered from June 16 to December 23.
During the construction period, diversion of pedestrians will be implemented and a minimum 1.5-metre footpath width will be maintained.
A notice on the closure and alteration was published in the Government Gazette today.
A plan showing the affected area is available for public inspection free of charge at the Public Enquiry Service Centre of Wong Tai Sin District Office at Unit 201, 2/F, Lung Cheung Office Block, 138 Lung Cheung Road, Wong Tai Sin, and at the District Lands Office (Kowloon East) at 10/F, Yau Ma Tei Carpark Building, 250 Shanghai Street, Yau Ma Tei.
Any person who wishes to make a claim for compensation should write to the Director of Lands, 20/F, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point.
