Proposed access road from Deep Bay Road to Tin Yuet Road, Yuen Long gazetted

     The Government published a Gazette notice today (May 6) on the proposed access road from Deep Bay Road to Tin Yuet Road, Yuen Long.

     The proposed works are as follows:

(i) upgrading of a section of the existing access road approximately 600 metres long to a two-lane two-way carriageway with associated footpaths;

(ii) construction of sections of carriageways and footpaths;

(iii) construction of a maintenance access and a village access;

(iv) temporary/permanent closure and reconstruction of sections of the existing carriageways, footpaths and maintenance access; and

(vi) ancillary works including waterworks, civil, drainage, slope, landscaping and utilities works.

     The plans and scheme are available for public inspection at the following places during office hours:

(i) Central and Western District Office
    Public Enquiry Service Centre

    99 Queen's Road Central, Hong Kong

(ii) Yuen Long District Office
     Yuen Long District Office Building
     269 Castle Peak Road
     Yuen Long, New Territories

      Yuen Long, New Territories

     Any person who wishes to object to the proposed works or the use, or both, should write to the Secretary for Transport and Housing, 16/F, Murray Building, Garden Road, Hong Kong, on or before July 5.
