The Government announced today (April 29) the closure and alteration of parts of the footpath of Pei Ho Street and Cheung Sha Wan Road to facilitate improvement works of the Mass Transit Railway (MTR) Sham Shui Po Station.
Parts of the footpath at Pei Ho Street near the junction at Cheung Sha Wan Road and parts of the carriageway and footpath at Cheung Sha Wan Road near the junction at Pei Ho Street will be temporarily closed and altered for a period of seven months from June 1.
During the construction period, diversion of pedestrians will be implemented and a minimum 1.5-metre-wide footpath will be maintained.
A notice on the road closure and alteration was published in the Government Gazette today (April 29).
A plan showing the affected area is available for public inspection free of charge at the Public Enquiry Service Centre, Sham Shui Po District Office, G/F, Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices, 303 Cheung Sha Wan Road, Sham Shui Po; and at the District Lands Office (Kowloon West), on 10/F, Yau Ma Tei Carpark Building, 250 Shanghai Street, Yau Ma Tei.
Any person who wishes to make a claim for compensation should write to the Director of Lands, 20/F, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point.
