Lease modifications, land exchanges and private treaty grants registered in 2011 first quarter

     The Lands Department registered 14 lease modifications and three land exchanges in the Land Registry during the quarter ending March 2011, of which 12 were modifications of a technical nature involving nil premium.

     Among these 17 land transactions, 10 are located on Hong Kong Island, three in Kowloon and four in the New Territories. The transactions exclude Small House cases.

     Another lot was granted by private treaty to the Urban Renewal Authority during the period for residential development in Tai Kok Tsui.

     A spokesman for the Lands Department said today (April 15) that the land transactions realised a total land premium of about $1.831 billion.

     Transaction records of the lease modifications, land exchanges and private treaty grants, including those registered recently, are uploaded onto the Lands Department's website ( on a monthly basis. Details of the transactions may be obtained by searching the registered documents in the Land Registry.
