The Convenor of the Non-official Members of ExCo, Mr Leung Chun-ying, issued a statement today (January 2) on the passing of Mr Szeto Wah:
Mr Szeto Wah had been participating in the community and political affairs of Hong Kong for years. He had served Hong Kong since 1980s and took part in the work on Hong Kong's return to China. In recent years, he also actively took part in the political affairs of Hong Kong inside and outside the Legislative Council. A man of conviction, Mr Szeto Wah strived to promote the development of the community.
I am deeply saddened by the passing of Mr Szeto Wah and send my condolences to his relations.
