Man arrested for robbery and murder

     Police this morning (December 29) arrested a 44-year-old man in Sau Mau Ping in suspected connection with the death of a 44-year-old woman in the same district on July 8.

     About 11.30pm on July 8, the woman was found lying unconscious with head injuries in a staircase on Hiu Kwong Street near Hiu Lai Court and was later certified dead in hospital. Initial investigation revealed that the deceased's handbag was missing.

     The man was arrested for robbery and murder and is being detained for further enquiries. Active investigations by the Regional Crime Unit of Kowloon East are underway.
