The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department announced today (December 23) that a notice under the Energy Efficiency (Labelling of Products) Ordinance has been served to Philips Electronics Hong Kong Limited (Philips) to remove the reference numbers of the two following compact fluorescent lamp (CFL) models. As a result, these CFL models are not allowed to be supplied in Hong Kong.

This removal is based on findings that the measured lumen maintenance of these CFL models is lower than their rated lumen maintenance.
