Police are investigating a traffic accident in Ma On Shan this morning (November 4) in which a 53-year-old man died and a 14-year-old boy injured.
About 8 am, the 53-year-old man was riding a bicycle along the cycling track towards Ma On Shan Road. When approaching to the junction of Ma On Shan Road and Hang Hong Street, the bicycle reportedly collided with another bicycle ridden by the 14-year-old boy travelling towards Hang Hong Street.
Both cyclists sustained injuries and were rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital. The 53-year-old man, who sustained serious head injury, was certified dead at 09.18 am.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team, Traffic New Territories South, are under way.
