The Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Henry Tang, today (October 28) met the Chairman of the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, Mr Bernard Chan, and representatives from the Council at the Central Government Offices, seeking their views on the establishment and operation of the Community Care Fund.
They exchanged views on the Fund's mission, service targets and mode of operation. Mr Tang said that he appreciated the Council's support for the Fund and looked forward to fostering a close partnership between the Fund and the social welfare sector, including the Council, in helping the underprivileged.
Mr Tang will continue to meet with relevant stakeholders in the coming days to listen to their views.
