The Armoury Group today (October 25) announced the opening of its first high-end retail store The Armoury, which is offering classic menswear in Hong Kong. The store is located on the third floor of The Pedder Building in Central.
The Armoury sources artisanal menswear products from around the world and also works with WW Chan, one of the best tailors in Hong Kong, for customers looking for bespoke suits. The store concept comes from a passion for classic styling and an interest in the unique stories behind well-crafted quality menswear.
Managing Director of The Armoury Group, Mr Mark Cho, said, "Hong Kong is a diverse city. There are still people who will put on a jacket when they go out for a meal and there are still people who polish their shoes properly. The city has a very rich history for tailored clothing that I feel very drawn to. I want to connect with the well-dressed in Hong Kong and supply them with the great things that they often have to go elsewhere to find. I think it's sad that suits and classic style are slowly fading when frankly, if done right, they make men look so much better than anything else."
"We now use our Hong Kong store as our Asia satellite office, both as an operational site locally for the Armoury brand and also as a warehouse to fulfil online store orders. I would love to see The Armoury do well in the city and then take it to Shanghai and Beijing one day. The Hong Kong office could then become the hub for all back-office and finance operations in Asia. The city's free flow of capital with a fully convertible currency brings convenience to doing business in the region. In terms of operations and logistics, the city is such a pleasure to work in. People work hard, are efficient and get things done quickly and as expected," Cho added.
