The following is issued on behalf of the Council for Sustainable Development:
The Council for Sustainable Development today (October 13) received the Government's written response to the Council's report on "Building Design to Foster a Quality and Sustainable Built Environment".
The Council welcomed the Government's prompt response to its report submitted on June 25, 2010 which contained 51 recommendations.
The Council noted that the Chief Executive included in the Policy Address some of the measures covered by the Government's response. It showed that the Government appreciated the Council's work.
The Council is studying the response and will meet on October 25 to discuss it.
