Man arrested for allegedly shooting with intent to do grievous bodily harm

     Police are investigating a case classified as shooting with intent to do grievous bodily harm in Wan Chai in the evening yesterday (October 3) in which no casualty was reported.

     Police received a report at about 9pm that one gun shot was heard inside a shopping centre at No. 310 Gloucester Road in Wan Chai. Initial investigation revealed that two cash escort guards, men aged 36 and 40, had a dispute while they were performing cash escort duty therein. The 36-year-old man fired a shot with his Remington shotgun used for the cash escort.

     No one was injured. Pellets suspected to be shot from the shotgun spread over the ground at scene. Apart from the ceiling, no other property was damaged.

     The 36-year-old man was arrested for allegedly shooting with intent to do grievous bodily harm and is still being detained for further enquiries.
 
     This is a serious criminal case and active investigations by Wan Chai District Crime Squad are under way.
