To facilitate the funeral for the late Police Constable, Mr Leung Ting-lun, at the Universal Funeral Parlour in Hung Hom and a roadside vigil in Sheung Shui on Friday (September 17), special traffic arrangements will be implemented in the two areas.
On Ching Road and Cheong Hang Road in Hung Hom will be completely closed to all vehicles except those with authorisation to enter until 12.30pm.
Traffic along Lo Lung Hang Street can only turn right into Winslow Street.
The metered parking spaces on Cheong Hang Road, Winslow Street and Lo Lung Hang Street will be suspended in advance.
People going to the funeral by vehicles should alight at Winslow Street and proceed to the funeral parlour.
No vehicle will be allowed to enter China Travel Service Hip Kee Godown on Cheong Hang Road after 8.35am except for those with authorisation. No vehicles will be permitted to leave the parking area until the cortege has departed.
In Sheung Shui, a section of southbound Fan Leng Lau Road between Ma Sik Road and Wo Muk Road will be temporarily closed at about 11.35am. A section of westbound Sha Tau Kok Road between Lok Yip Road and Jockey Club Road will be temporarily closed at about 11.40am.
