Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in North Point this afternoon (September 12) in which a 70-year-old man was killed.
About 4.23pm, a bus driven by a 32-year-old man was travelling along eastbound King's Road. When approaching near the junction with Man Hong Street, it reportedly hit the 70-year-old man who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious waist and leg injuries, the man was rushed to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital where he was certified dead at 5.31pm.
The case will be handed over to the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island.
