Police will implement special traffic arrangements on Sunday (September 12) in Chai Wan to facilitate a running competition.
(A) Road Closures
The following sections of roads will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 6.30 am to 9.30 am:
- Fu Hong Street;
- a section of Siu Sai Wan Road eastbound between Harmony Road and Sun Yip Street;
- a section of Sun Yip Street between Ka Yip Street and Siu Sai Wan Road;
- Fung Yip Street rear lane;
- Sun On Street;
- a section of Fung Yip Street between On Yip Street and Sun Yip Street;
- a section of Fung Yip Street northbound between Sheung On Street and On Yip Street;
- a section of Sheung On Street eastbound between Ka Yip Street and Fung Yip Street; and
- a section of On Yip Street eastbound between Fung Yip Street and Sun Yip Street.
A section of Cape Collinson Road between Lin Shing Road and the entrance of Cape Collinson Chinese Permanent Cemetery will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 7 am to 11 am.
(B) Suspension of Metered Parking Spaces
All the metered parking spaces at the following locations will be suspended from 8 pm on September 11 to noon on September 12:
- Sun Yip Street;
- Fung Yip Street;
- On Yip Street; and
- Sun On Street.
(C) Suspension of bus stops and carparks
All bus stops and carparks along the closed roads will be temporarily suspended from 6.30 am to about 11 am on September 12.
Any vehicles found illegally parked along the closed road may be towed away without advance notice.
Motorists are urged to take heed of traffic signs at the scene and instructions by traffic Police.
