Police arrested a 36-year-old man yesterday (August 31) for attempting to mislead a police officer.
On August 23 last year, the man lodged a complaint with the Police against an off-duty police officer for assaulting him during an earlier dispute happened in Tin Shui Wai.
Subsequent to the investigation conducted by officers of the Complaints Against Police Office, the man was arrested yesterday for attempting to mislead a police officer.
The man was charged with the above offence and will appear at Tuen Mun Magistrates' Courts this morning (September 1).
A Police spokesman reiterates that attempting to mislead a police officer is a serious offence.
