The Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Mr Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, welcomed today (August 21) the resolution of the Dragonair labour dispute after 13 hours of overnight negotiation.
Mr Cheung said, "This clearly demonstrates that with sincerity and mutual understanding of both the management and the union, differences can always be ironed out through communication and dialogue."
He also commended the colleagues of the Labour Department for their hard work, proactive mediation and professionalism in conciliating the dispute.
