Amendment to access road works at Mok Tse Che, Sai Kung, gazetted

     The Government published a notice in the Gazette today (August 20) on the proposed amendments to improvement works on an access road at Mok Tse Che, Sai Kung. The proposed amendments aim to ameliorate the effect of the proposed works at the request of the adjacent villagers.

     The proposed amendments include revision of the proposed limit of works area; construction of a vehicle deck; revision of the proposed carriageway, footpaths and retaining walls; deletion of the proposed staircases; deletion of the proposed permanent or temporary closure of sections of the existing carriageway, footpath and staircases; deletion or amendment of the proposed resumption of land lot; and revision of the proposed ancillary works such as drainage, landscaping and geotechnical works.

     The proposed amendment plans and amendment scheme are available for public inspection at the following places during office hours:

(i)  Central and Western District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, Unit 5, Ground Floor, The Center, 99 Queen's Road Central;

(ii) Sai Kung District Office, 2/F, Sai Kung Government Offices Building, 34 Chan Man Street, Sai Kung; and

(iii)District Lands Office, Sai Kung, 3/F, Sai Kung Government Offices Building, 34 Chan Man Street, Sai Kung.

     Any person who wishes to object to the proposed amendments should write to the Secretary for Transport and Housing, 16th floor, Murray Building, Garden Road, on or before October 19.
