The exhibition "Lofty Integrity: Donation of Works by Wu Guanzhong", has been well received by the public since its opening on March 26 at the Hong Kong Museum of Art. Up to yesterday (August 18), the exhibition had attracted more than 158,400 visitors. To give the public an opportunity to appreciate this great artist's work, the exhibition period will further be extended until October 10.
The exhibition comprises 52 works donated by Wu Guanzhong to the Hong Kong Museum of Art. The works on display include those created between 1961 and 2010, which fully reflect Wu's explorations in artistic creation as well as his artistic style and characteristics.
The exhibition catalogue produced by the Museum of Art also has been well received by art lovers. The 1,000 copies of the first print run have sold out. To meet the demand, the second print run of the catalogue will be available at the museum's gift shop with each copy priced at $340. Two environmental bags with Wu's designs on them will be given to buyers of the catalogue.
The Museum of Art is located at 10 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. It opens from 10am to 6pm from Sunday to Wednesday and Fridays, and from 10am to 8pm on Saturdays. It is closed on Thursdays (except public holidays) Admission is $10 and a half-price concession is available for full-time students, senior citizens and people with disabilities. Admission is free on Wednesdays.
