Temporary closure of facilities at Sai Wan Ho Sports Centre

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (August 17) that the following facilities at Sai Wan Ho Sports Centre will be temporarily closed for refurbishment works:

     Facility              Period of closure
     ========              =================

     Dance Room            September 13 to October 11

     Squash courts         September 13 to October 17
     (No.1 to No.3),
     Activity room,
     Table-tennis room and
     Shroff office

     Arena                 September 13 to October 31

     During the closure periods, the public may use the facilities of the nearby Island East Sports Centre.
