Fatal traffic accident in Tin Sum

    Police are investigating a traffic accident in Tin Sum this morning (August 16) in which a 76-year-old man was killed.

    About 10.47am, a private car driven by a 55-year-old man reportedly hit the 76-year-old man while it was reversing near a village office on Ngau Pei Sha Street.

    Sustaining serious injuries to his upper body, the 76-year-old man was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital where he was certified dead at 8.08pm.

    The driver was arrested for dangerous driving and was released on Police bail pending further enquiries.
   
    Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South are under way.
