Police today (August 12) reclassified a wounding case in Tseung Kwan O yesterday (August 11) as murder.
About 3.55pm yesterday, Police received a report that two men, aged 56 and 61, were assaulted by a 44-year-old man after a dispute at a walkway near Ming Chau House, Kin Ming Estate.
Police later arrived at the scene and arrested the 44-year-old man for wounding.
The 56-year-old man who sustained serious head wounds was sent to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital while the 61-year-old man with hand injuries was taken to Tseung Kwan O Hospital.
The 56-year-old man was subsequently certified dead at 11.22am today (August 12). A post-mortem examination will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of his death.
The 44-year-old arrested person is still being detained. Active investigations by District Crime Squad of Kwun Tong District are underway.
