Baby boy dies in Tsuen Wan traffic accident

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Tsuen Wan this afternoon (August 8) in which a 9-month-old baby boy was killed.

     About 2pm, a private car driven by a 37-year-old man was travelling along the slip road of Tsing Long Highway towards Tuen Mun Road Tuen Mun-bound. When approaching Ting Kau Bridge, the private car reportedly lost control and rammed into the road signs and water barriers installed on the roadside.

     The driver, a 38-year-old female passenger, a 4-year-old girl, and a 9-month-old baby boy were injured and conveyed to Yan Chai Hospital for treatment. The baby was later certified dead at 4.44pm.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South are under way.
