Police are investigating a murder in Tsuen Wan in which a 42-year-old woman and her 12-year-old daughter were killed today (July 22). Her 15-year-old son was arrested in suspected connection with the case.
About 3.30am, Police received a report that a boy was injured while his mother and younger sister were seriously injured in a flat in Heung Wo Street.
Police sped to the scene and located the injured boy in the Tsuen Wan Riviera Park. Police later found a 42-year-old woman and a 12-year-old girl lying unconscious on the floor in a flat in Heung Wo Street. They had sustained multiple chop wounds to their bodies and were certified dead at the scene.
Upon investigation, Police arrested a 15-year-old boy suspected to be connected to the case. He had sustained injuries to his hand and was sent to Yan Chai Hospital for medical treatment. Police seized a chopper from his rucksack.
Post-mortem examinations will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death of the deceased.
Investigations by the District Crime Squad of Tsuen Wan are underway.
