The Buildings Department approved 17 building plans in June - eight on Hong Kong Island, four in Kowloon and five in the New Territories.
Of the approved plans, nine were for apartment and apartment/commercial developments, three were for commercial developments, one was for factory and industrial developments and four were for community services developments.
In the same month, consent was given for work to start on 14 building projects that, when completed, will provide 104,106 square metres of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 553 units, and 60,002 square metres of gross floor area for non-domestic use. The department has received notification of commencement of work for 10 building projects.
The department also issued 15 occupation permits - eight on Hong Kong Island, one in Kowloon and six in the New Territories.
Of the buildings certified for occupation, the gross floor areas for domestic use were 153,287 square metres, involving 2,055 units, and 30,112 square metres for non-domestic use.
The declared cost of the new buildings completed in June totalled about $3.4 billion.
In addition, four demolition consents involving four building structures were issued.
The department received 2,324 complaints against unauthorised building works in June, and issued 3,478 removal orders on unauthorised works.
