A roving exhibition was launched today (July 16) in City Plaza, Taikoo Shing, to promote Hong Kong's participation in World Expo 2010 Shanghai China (Shanghai Expo) during the summer holidays.
The three-day exhibition opens daily from 10am to 9.30pm until Sunday (July 18). A model of the Hong Kong Pavilion is on display at City Plaza so that visitors can learn more about its design and how it represents the city's Expo theme, "Hong Kong - Potential Unlimited".
Display panels, videos and a computer presentation will provide information about the Hong Kong Pavilion and Hong Kong's Urban Best Practices Area (UBPA) Exhibition as well as the city's virtual presence in the Expo Shanghai Online project.
Details of events and activities organised by Hong Kong during the six-month Expo period will also be available.
Visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to pose for photos with the Shanghai Expo mascot "Haibao" from 1pm to 5pm tomorrow (July 17) and Sunday (July 18).
Roving exhibitions will continue to be held at different venues around Hong Kong until October.
Hong Kong has a strong Expo presence. The focal point is the stand-alone Hong Kong Pavilion under the theme "Hong Kong - Potential Unlimited", while Hong Kong's UBPA Exhibition is themed "Smart Card · Smart City · Smart Life". Netizens can experience the city's virtual presence in the Expo Shanghai Online project.
More than 55 events and activities are being staged by Hong Kong for Shanghai Expo to showcase the city as a modern, creative and interconnected metropolis.
