The Land Registry today (July 6) released its statistics for the first half of 2010.
Land Registration

* The number of sale and purchase agreements for all building units received for registration for the first half of 2010 was 77,262 (+2.8% compared with the second half of 2009 and +31.3% compared with the first half of 2009).
* The total consideration of these agreements for the first half of 2010 was $311.01 billion (+0.3% compared with the second half of 2009 and +51.2% compared with the first half of 2009).
* The number of assignments of building units for the first half of 2010 was 85,531 (-5.2% compared with the second half of 2009 but +67.5% compared with the first half of 2009).
* The total consideration for these assignments for the first half of 2010 was $316.42 billion (-1.2% compared with the second half of 2009 but +109.1% compared with the first half of 2009).
Land Search

* The number of searches of land registers made by the public for the first half of 2010 was 2,945,205 (+7.1% compared with the second half of 2009 and +32.7% compared with the first half of 2009).
