A new interactive game, "Smartcard Superman", was launched today (June 30) on Hong Kong's Expo website, www.hkexpo2010.gov.hk, to promote smart card applications in Expo 2010 Shanghai China (Shanghai Expo).
Echoing the theme of Hong Kong's Urban Best Practices Area (UBPA) Exhibition, "Smart CardĄD Smart CityĄD Smart Life", game players become the "Smartcard Superman". Their task is to provide virtual citizens with various smart cards to help them get around the city. Applications include Smart ID Cards, credit cards, access cards, vehicle pass cards and Octopus cards.
Players will experience how smart cards make city life in Hong Kong more efficient and hassle free. The game promotes Hong Kong's seamless connectivity, both within the city and with other parts of the world, through the adoption of smart card technology.
The "Smartcard Superman" game also connects players to other participants around the world so that they can compete against each other for the highest score as well as share the game via Facebook.
Netizens can access the online game through ubpa.hkexpo2010.gov.hk, or under the "Multimedia Zone" section of Hong Kong's Expo website.
