As part of the exercise under the Public Consultation on Subsidising Home Ownership, the Transport and Housing Bureau (THB) will organise public forums for the general public and interest groups to collect views on subsidising home ownership. Interested parties can register with the THB starting tomorrow (June 22).

Venue: Lai Chi Kok Community Hall, G/F, Banyan Garden, 863 Lai Chi Kok Road, Kowloon
Starting at 10am tomorrow (June 22), members of the public and interest groups who are interested to participate in the forums may register through the hotline on 2233 9320 (10am - 6pm, Monday to Saturday) or register on-line through the bureau's website. Seats are available on a first-come-first-served basis.
Apart from these public forums, the THB has also arranged district forums for members of all district councils as well as consultation sessions with members of the Legislative Council, statutory bodies, professional bodies, academics, think-tanks and real estate industry related organisations.
In addition, a series of focus group meetings will also be conducted to solicit views through a mix of respondents from different housing situations and various age groups. Furthermore, the public are welcome to send in their views on the subject through email, fax and by post. The public may also express their views on the THB's e-forum or the dedicated Facebook page.
The consultation exercise will last until September 17, 2010. Views and suggestions collected will be forwarded to the Chief Executive for his consideration.
