The Commission on Strategic Development (CSD), chaired by the Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, will hold a meeting on June 21 (Monday). The agendum is "Consultation on Subsidising Home Ownership".
A Government spokesman said, "The Government had earlier indicated that it would, through various channels, collect views of stake-holders and members of the public on subsidising home ownership. CSD members are drawn from a broad cross-section of the community and its terms of reference include discussions on specific strategic issues in aid of subsequent policy inception and formulation. It provides an important and appropriate platform for deliberating the subject of subsidising home ownership. We look forward to hearing members' views on this major subject."
The Secretariat to the Commission today (June 14) distributed the discussion paper for the meeting and the consultation framework as released earlier by the Government to members for their consideration. The CSD discussion paper is available for downloading at:
