The Lands Department today (June 10) announced that the tender for two petrol filling stations had been awarded on a 21-year land grant at a total premium of $315.6 million.
The sites at Aberdeen Main Road, Aberdeen, Hong Kong (Aberdeen Inland Lot No. 457) and 201 Waterloo Road, Kowloon (New Kowloon Inland Lot No. 6507) were awarded to Petrochina International (Hong Kong) Corporation Limited.
"Authority from the Central Tender Board was given to the Lands Department to award the above sites to the highest tenderer," a Government spokesman said.
The successful tender was submitted on the basis of a single amount of tender premium for the purchase of the two sites collectively as one package. These two sites are existing, re-tendered sites for the development of petrol filling stations.
Three tenderers took part in the tender exercise, which produced a total of seven tenders: six for the sites individually and one for the two sites collectively as a package.
